Benny (3/4/03): Whoever Gepetto's (?) original owners were, we will never know - the kitten was found in front of our house. I had just picked up Molly from school, and we had gotten out of the car when I spotted a tiny fluffy ball next to our garage door. After trying to pick the poor thing up, it got scared and ran underneath the front porch.

After many failed tries to temp it out with various treats, we finally got a broom and was able to push the poor creature out. After bringing it inside to get it warm, we discovered that it was very undernourished, and completely listless.

With a call to the vet (to find out what to feed it), Molly was soon able to nurse it back to health; and it became a typical kitten - full of energy and curiosity (and fat).

Although we never did find out who abandoned it, but the neighbors across the street had also found a kitten the same age, and with very similar markings as Gepetto. That kitten was given to a different neighbor, who then gave it to the pound.

Gepetto, on the other hand, found a new home with my bother-in-law's cousin's friend.
